If you received a wheelchair through the WMO, you can contact the dealer that supplied it. If you purchased a wheelchair privately, you can have it repaired for a fee by the dealer from whom you bought it or by another dealer near you.
Yes, it is possible to have your wheelchair customised. Our current product range offers many possibilities for tailoring a wheelchair to your requirements. It is possible to select a product that fully meets your needs and preferences. Even if you require an adaptation that is not listed on the order form, this is almost always possible.
You can tighten the brake cable using the cable adjusters, restoring sufficient braking performance. Refer to your product manual for further instructions. If you are still unable to resolve the issue, please contact your dealer.
The brake cable may be adjusted too tightly. You need to find the correct balance between the parking brake and the user brake. If you are unable to resolve the issue, please contact your dealer.
There may be two reasons for this:
1. The wheels are loose. Tighten the wheels so they continue to run smoothly. 2. If the rollator has been left with the parking brake engaged for a long period, the wheels may develop indentations. These indentations will disappear over time. We recommend not leaving your rollator on the parking brake for longer than necessary.
If you lean too far forwards when walking behind your rollator, the push handles are set at the wrong height. To adjust the push handles to the correct height, let your arms hang naturally at your sides and set the push handles level with your wrists.
The wheels are made from EVA or PU material. This material is lightweight. If the rollator is used infrequently, the wheels may become flatter. Once the rollator is used again, the wheels will return to their correct shape.
Many detection systems use magnetic or radio-frequency fields. Because rollators often have a metal frame (for example aluminium or steel), these metal parts can sometimes trigger an alarm, particularly when the equipment is set to a very high sensitivity.
The tray of your rollator should be cleaned by hand. Use warm soapy water with washing-up liquid. Do not use abrasive products and do not place the tray in a dishwasher.
To find out whether your wheelchair may be transported in a taxi, we recommend consulting the following document: Safe Transport Declaration. This document clearly states which wheelchairs may be transported in a taxi.
